Dr. Phung K. Hoang (Susan Hoang), is a native of Vietnam who grew up in Silver Springs, Maryland. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery. After graduating, she attended a 1 year Post Graduate Dental Residency Program at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, New York. After working as a general dentist for 5 years as an associate , she was accepted into the 2 years Endodontic Specialty Program at New York University. She is currently a full time Clinical Associate Professor at New York College of Dentistry, Endodontic Department. She is also a course director for the Honors Endodontic Elective at the dental school. Currently she is a member of the American Association of Endodontics and volunteers her time mentoring students in the Endodontics Society and Vietnamese Student Dental Association. Every February, she participates in an outreach for dental awareness month with both the VA hospital with dental students at NYU and East Harlem middle schools with New York County Dental Society.
